PRIMARY QUANTITY SODIUM (PRILIGY®), a combination drug for treating premature ejaculation, is used to treat premature ejaculation (PE) in adult men aged 18 to 64 years old. Premature ejaculation is a condition that is caused by a long-term issue with ejaculation. Premature ejaculation is not caused by the underlying problem of low blood flow to the male sexual organ.
PRILIGY is a combination of two medicines: Priligy (dapoxetine) and Priligy ER (sildenafil). It is used to treat the symptoms of premature ejaculation. Priligy improves the sexual response and duration of ejaculation and can treat a number of problems in men with premature ejaculation. Priligy is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) which increases serotonin levels in the brain. It improves sexual satisfaction. Priligy ER is a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor which helps to decrease the amount of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) produced in the body. The drug improves blood flow to the male sexual organ, which helps to improve sexual function.
The most common side effects of this medication are headache, upset stomach, diarrhea, dizziness, dry mouth, fatigue, nausea, and decreased libido.
If you miss a dose of this medication, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once. Do not use extra medicine to make up for a missed dose.

Drug-Food Interactions:Do not take St. John’s wort (herbal supplement used to treat depression) while taking Dapoxetine. Avoid consuming grapefruit juice within 24 hours of taking Dapoxetine as it could lead to an increase in the level of Dapoxetine in the body.
Drug-Disease Interactions:Inform the doctor if you have cardiovascular/heart disease, a history of dizziness due to low blood pressure, depression, mania, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, epilepsy/fits, bleeding or blood clotting problems, glaucoma, kidney problems, or moderate to severe liver problems.
